A little bit of this … and a lot of that.

My name is Cheryl King … and I love storytelling. :) I know that sounds cliche , but it’s true. Because to me, within stories is where REAL magic lies - in their immortality. And every story deserves a voice, a captive audience, a platform, and a creative support system. Whether it’s an artist sharing their music, a human sharing their unique life experience, or a brand who simply wants to connect to their product or content to the world … I want to help them shine their brightest.

For 19 years now, my goal has remained the same - to bring creative insight to the directing table, to be 100% collaborative, and to capture the clients’ stories with efficiency and ease - all from an empathetic perspective. As not only a director, but also a promo & sponsored content concept and script writer, I always try to see and execute the big picture, as well as all the little pictures in between. Having been on both sides - Network & Agency - I understand the need to maximize the shoot day and constantly push the bounds of a shot-lists, finding every opportunity to grow concepts into robust, multi-platform campaigns.

I specialize in writing and directing cross-brand Integrations, sponsored content, music & interview/doc-focused content. While often requested for my ability to take a project from ideation to screen, my greatest directorial asset - if I had to come up with one - I would say, is my ability to connect with and direct talent. From A-list musical artists like Taylor Swift, Carrie Underwood and Jason Aldean to reality stars like the cast of CMT’s “Party Down South” and “everyday people” on camera for the first time - each individual shines in different ways, and my journey is to help them share their unique light, their perspective, with the viewers at home.

I have nomadic tendencies when writing, so I tend to be ‘based out of’ wherever I am at the time. However, generally I am based out of Miami and Nashville.
